After reportedly approaching top celebrity names like Kapil Dev, Yash Birla and Sanjay Manjrekar for participation, and actor John Abraham to step in as the host, the first edition of the


Survivor goes on floors on Monday with 11 mid-order stars and 11 commoners at Philippines. The host has now been changed from the Dhoom star to model-anchor Sameer Kochhar. The contestants will be leaving on separate flights over the next 48 hours because the idea is that no one should know who the other 10 participants on the show are.

So far, we’ve been tipped off that TV actors Priyanka Bassi who rose to fame with the army-based show Left Right Left, Gaurav Gera who became popular on the show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi as the desi Ugly Betty’s aid, and Shilpa Saklani, who was last seen on the reality show Pati, Patni Aur Wo, have agreed to participate and will be among the first ones to leave the city.

Actor Eesha Kopikhar’s businessman husband, Timmy Narang, Bollywood actor Payal Rohatgi ace swimmer Bula Choudhary, who recently swam across the English Channel, will follow them soon. Reportedly, actors like Aditya Redij, popularly known as Raghav from Naa Aana Iss Des Laado, actors Karan Patel and Karishma Tanna , have also been approached to participate, although there was no confirmation on their names at the time of going to press.
