A great line-up of New Year’s shows will keep the telly-audience hooked.

Now it’s only a few days left before we all bid farewell to the year 2010. Come 31st December and many of you will be found partying hard and busy merry making. But for those who will be at home, there’s no need to be disappointed as the telly world has a lot to offer. Spectacular shows, stand up comedy and much more awaits you on the tube next Friday.

HT City gives you a lowdown on which New Year’s shows you should be tuning into on the last day of the year.

Fun and frolic
Happy Ending 2010 — a two hour long show will bring together the entire Imagine family together. Watch your favourite daughter, son, bahu and villain compete against each other in a dance show! Judges Kiku and Dummy Rakhi will be playing a spoof on Saroj Khan while Rohit Roy will play the host. As the clock strikes midnight, Rakhi Sawant will up the hot quotient with her dance moves.

Laugh out loud
If you want to bring in the new years amidst smiles, rather laughter, then watching Star World’s Ripping Up The Decade could be a good option. This show will be a fun and witty recap of the best and worst of the decade and the channel has roped in their all-time favourite stand-up comedian Vir Das for the same. It will be a combination of events and issues that took place through the decade, simultaneously tickling the funny bone.

Star studded affair
Woodles of entertainment and glamour, is what you should expect from the first ever Big Star Entertainment Awards this Friday. Akshay Kumar will light up the stage with an action-packed performance. Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukherji, boxing champion Vijender Singh, The Prince Dance Troupe and many others will set the stage on fire. Also, catch actor Aishwarya and Amitabh Bachchan exchange pleasantries with Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan at the do.

Welcome 2011 in style
A fun-filled night is what Colors special show, Shubh Aarambh 2011, claims to be. A heady mix of dance, music, comedy and loads of masti, the show will be hosted by actors Rakshanda Khan and Vishal Malhotra. Viewers will enjoy enthralling performances by TV’s popular couple Nandish Sandhu and Rashmi Desai (Veer and Tapu of Uttaran along with sizzling moves by actor Parul Chauhan and Barkha Bisht.
