How do they make an entire series without anybody getting a whiff of it? We will have to ask Netflix about that.

The online streaming service released the trailer for its new series, The OA, on Monday. The show will be out in just three days, on December 16. But what were they being so secretive about all this while? No idea, but we guess the series must be pretty great to have been kept under such thick wraps.

The eight-episode thriller is co-created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. It tells the story of a blind girl who went missing seven years ago. She has just been found, but her parents say she can see now. She acts weird, and calls herself The OA.

The show reminds us a lot of Kyle XY and Eleven from Netflix’s Stranger Things, with all its eerie labs and experiments on children.

Brit Marling of The East and Sound of My Voice plays the lead. She is joined by Phyllis Smith,Emory Cohen, Scott Wilson and Jason Isaacs. Brad Pitt is an executive producer of the show.

Watch out for our review of the show on Friday.
