Reality TV show Bigg Boss may be over, but the rivalry between contestants Pravesh Rana and Vindu Dara Singh is still going strong. Rana, who hosts the dance reality show for kids, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, on Colors, is still irked by Vindu claiming he’s a ‘common man’.
"After being the son of such a famous wrestler, Dara Singh, I don’t know how Vindu can claim to be a common man. A common man is somebody like me, who made it on his own despite no family background in the field," he says.
However, he’s quick to add that he respects the "different territories" he and Vindu share as host and judge on the show, respectively.
Vindu Dara Singh says he became a household name not because of the 15 years he spent in the entertainment industry, but because of the 54 days inside the Bigg Boss house. He won the contest, but still has some unkind words about fellow participants.
"I was very real and never tried to fake it on the show, unlike many others who tried to drop clothes or use foul language to gain attention... like Sherlyn Chopra or Pravesh Rana," he says.
That hasn't stopped Singh from being the judge on a show Rana is hosting. He claims he’ll be the common man’s representative on the dance reality show.
Ask him if reality shows involving children impact them negatively, he says, "Don’t even try to compare the children of today with ones from previous generations. They’re too smart. What we used to think of at 18 or 20, these children indulge in at nine. The dynamics have changed."
