Lots in a name
The fiery Ekta Kapoor is guided in everything she does by the spiritual powers and her astrologer. So, not surprisingly, the team had a tough time finalising a name for Zee TV’s soon-to-be-launched mother-daughter show.

Several titles were toyed with including Pavitra Bandhan, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Saubhagyawati and Saubhagyawati Bhava with different permutations and combinations.

The legal team joined the creative in the search for a suitable option but every suggestion was thumbed down by Ekta. It took a month before Pavitra Rishta cropped up.. and got the nod from boss lady.

From ear to there
In NDTV’s Ghar Ki Baat Hai this week, Juhi Babbar who plays the lead protagonist, Radhika Yagnik, will consult a book and tell everyone what to wear to turn one’s fortune. On her part, she decides to turn sunflower yellow, from head to toe.

On the sets, co-star, Jayati Bhatia, noticed the nice clips in her hair and asked about them. Juhi laughed and revealed that they were actually earrings but went well with the get-up. What’s that they say about necessity being the mother of all inventions? The episode will be aired on Saturday.

That’s a lie
Ashita, who is Rinku Dhawan's cousin is doing three shows. As the self-centered Malti in Bidaai, she’s become a familiar name with couch potatoes.

There’s also Hans Baliye on Star One and Saat Untaalis ki Ladies Special on Sony. She’s finding it tough juggling rehearsals and shoots. The only consolation is that she is not the main lead in Bidaai. But wherever she goes she’s asked to repeat her catchline, “Jhoot toh mein bolti nahi.” Liar!
