The four-year-old Raj, who plays Abhishek in Zee TV’s Aapki Antara, was recently being scolded on the sets in Goregaon. And the one scolding him was his mum. Reason: the little boy wasn’t willing to sit down and complete his homework during the shoot. He instead wanted to play around with the rest of the kiddie gang.
When Prabhleen Sandhu, Raj’s on-screen mum, saw him in the line of fire, she rushed to his rescue. The little brat, she discovered, didn’t want to have his homemade lunch either.
Ms Sandhu requested Raj’s mother not to hit him. She walked to the little boy, and promised him an ice-cream after he finished his lunch and homework. That worked the magic! Now, that’s called being mum.
Wait and watch
Pracheen Chauhan and Nikkhil Chaddha, the lead actors on the Colors show, Maat Pitaah Ke Charno Mein Swarg, were recently overheard discussing their previous projects and the assignments they didn’t do. A source from the set reveals that the two were finalised earlier to play the leads on Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai, the leading shows on Star Plus.
Pracheen was to play Alekh, the role that Angad Hasija plays and Nikkhil was expected to portray Naitik, the role that Karan Mehra plays. They were apparently dropped at the last moment because of some creative differences.
The source adds that the two waited for as long as two years before landing the daily soap, which they thank god, is male-centric. Hmm, better late than never, right?
