The makers of India’s most controversial and awaited reality show, Bigg Boss, have come up with two new promos of season 9.
Salman Khan, who will be the show’s host for the fifth time this year, is seen sporting a devilish smile as he peeks inside the house and finds inmates struggling with everyday stuff like dipping a biscuit in a tea! In sync with the show’s typical style, none of the three videos released till date reveal anything about the contestants. They just show enough portions of a person’s body to make it look human, but not enough to reveal the identity. The two promos that were shared on the YouTube channel of COLORS TV, were later removed and only one of the videos, shared on Twitter is now available online for fans to see.
After filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan took over Bigg Boss 8 towards the end of the show, rumours suggested that the Dabangg star may not return for season 9. However, Salman's fan following and his unique way of entertaining audiences and contestants alike ensured that the makers of the show brought him back as the host. Earlier, Salman announced on Twitter "Bigg Boss season 9 is mine" when he tweeted the first promo for the season.
The Dabangg star has hosted a total of four seasons of the show, which is an Indian version of internationally acclaimed reality format Celebrity Big Brother. The show involves celebrity contestants locked inside a purpose-built house for three months under constant camera surveillance and with no luxury and limited amenities of life.
While the date for the show is yet to be announced, buzz is the show will begin on September 21 after Comedy Nights Bachao ends. The final list of contestants, too, will be revealed on the day the show premieres but a list of probable candidates is already going viral online.
Rahul Yadav (of Housing.com fame), VJ Bani, TV actors Rashami Desai, Asha Negi and Sana Saeed are some of the prominent names on the list. Meanwhile, self-proclaimed godman Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has said that he is willing to participate in the show, only if he will be allowed to go outside and meet followers for 2-3 hours everyday. Well, that’s an innovative way of saying no to a show that is based on cutting off the contestants from the outside world for entire 90 days, isn’t it?
