Highlight Story

Bollywood ka Ticket

,

Tyohaar Dhamaka

and now

Nach Baliye 4

.. you seem to be on a ‘reality’ spree.

(Laughs) Reality shows are fun. I love dancing, plus it doesn’t require too much time unlike the dailies. I even won

Bollywood ka Ticket

.. the format works for me.

Nach Baliye 4

sees you teaming up with Megha Gupta.. but you weren’t too keen to acknowledge your relationship till recently.

We were asked to maintain a silence about it.

What about the buzz that Megha and you hooked up only to be on the show?

We’re for real. Megha and I have been seeing each other for the last five months.

Which

jodi

do you think will be a threat?

I haven’t seen any of them dance yet. But I think Jaspal Bhatti will be fun.

Did you expect to win

Kaun Jeetega Bollywood ka Ticket

?

No. Bindu and I were the dark horses. I have never been known as a dancer and she wasn’t much of a favourite either.

Which was your toughest moment?

The semi-final round was important but I think I did a great job. I danced to

Tadap tadap

.. that performance really helped us.

Twinkle Bajpai’s outburst was the high point of the show.. what exactly happened?

That was just an angry reaction from Twinkle.. but everything was forgotten by the end of the show. The incident was blown out of proportion maybe because the channel aired everything that happened.. but that’s the way reality shows function.

When Twinkle returned, the entire fracas seemed to be staged..

Nothing was staged.. it was all for real.

What’s the update on the film that you’re doing after winning

Kaun Jeetega Bollywood ka Ticket

?

It’s still on the scripting level. It’s a multi-starrer with Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan. It should start shooting by March next year.

Aren’t you likely to be overshadowed?

That’s the best way to make a debut. It’s difficult for a new guy to carry off a film entirely on his shoulders.
