The show’s finale is approximately three weeks away. And Bigg Boss 5, which recently bid farewell to Shonali Nagrani and cricketer Andrew Symonds with Hindi interpreter Pooja Missra, will have a wildcard entry this weekend. The current inmates — Sunny Leone, Juhi Parmar, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Amar Upadhyay and Akashdeep Saigal — obviously have no clue.

Meantime, the channel, Colors, has shortlisted Mahek Chahel, who exited two weeks ago, Shonali, and Laxmi Narayan Tripathi who was one of the first to be ousted from the house, as its three contenders for the wildcard entry, which will be decided by public voting, starting in a day or two. The participant with the maximum number of votes will re-enter the show on Saturday.

Minutes after being voted out, Mahek had said that she wouldn’t like to go back. “I missed my family. I learnt not to take people at face value. I’ve learnt to respect my maid because on this show, I’ve practically done everything that a maid does,” she had said.

Before she was eliminated, rumour had it that the show’s co-host Salman Khan was supporting Mahek and wanted her to win. He had also come to her rescue a couple of times when she had slinging matches with the boys in the house. “I don’t think Salman or Sanju are partial to anybody. They came to my rescue, but they did that for every girl in the house. If they had wanted me to win, they would never have let me come out,” she had reasoned.
