Avika Gor

News about her death splashed all publications and channels over a week ago. On the Wednesday night’s episode, the child bride took a bullet for her husband, as she saved Jagdish from being shot by a goon. Housewives around the country, slipped into a tizzy as they watched promos of the aforementioned episode in

Balika Vadhu

on

Colors

.

C S Mahale, a working lady, a homemaker and a mother of two, was curious about what would happen after Anandi dies on the show. “What would we be watching then? She’s the lifeblood of the serial and it’s quite a shocker to read in the newspapers that she plans to leave the show,” she adds.

Let’s hope...

Charanjeet Kaur, a housewife who watches the show every day, says that she might just stop watching the show if Anandi leaves it. “It’s that little Anandi’s character that keeps me hooked on to the show.

Balika Vadhu

becomes boring when she’s not in focus. And now if they kill her, there’s no reason for me to watch it anymore,” adds Kaur.

Meera Shukla, also a housewife and a soap addict of sorts, echoes Kaur and says that she wouldn’t mind if the child bride returned after a few episodes, like it happens in saas bahu shows. “Mihir Virani died and came back so many times in

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

. Every serial would have someone dying and returning. I’m hoping they don’t kill Anandi and then bring her back from the dead. It was fine with saas bahu shows, but not with

Balika Vadhu

,” she rues.

Keeping mum

Avika Gor, the 12-year-old who plays the popular child bride Anandi, announced two weeks ago that she would be taking a break from the show for her school examinations. “Like my work, I also take my studies very seriously. So, after I complete all the patchwork for the show, I will take a 15-day break to complete my class eight exams. I will resume the show thereon,” she had stated. She did not receive our call when we contacted her to confirm her return on the show after being shot in the head.

Sunjoy Wadhwa, the producer of the show from Sphere Origins, didn’t wish to comment on the current track of the show either. The spokesperson from

Colors

too, refused to comment.

However, sources say that the plan is to slip Anandi into a coma and keep the families in a state of shock for the next two weeks. Apparently, Dadisa (Surekha Sikri) would also hold a

mahayagya

to save her life. The track to bring back Anandi is still being worked on.
