And though Pal feels that "it is a matter of pride for both me and the nation," that’s not something that’ll help recover expenses – a total of Rs 3.5 crore so far.

Says Pal, "People are crazy about Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan... lekin itna pagalpan bhi theek nahi hota. As happy as I am for my feat, I’m equally sad that I can’t get my film into theatres."

Pal shares that the success of 3 Idiots and Avatar is the main reason he can’t get any slot for his film. "If the theatres want, they can give us one show at least. Other films are releasing too. Just because they’re not from big banners or don’t have so-called star value doesn’t mean they aren’t given a chance," says Pal. "We guys have proved ourselves, too – we’ve entertained people right in their bedrooms. The only thing we lack is glamour. Multiplexes mein toh monopoly hai bade bade gharano ki," rues Srivastava.

The film, which saw a limited release in Mumbai on Friday and comes to Delhi on January 29, features comic heavyweights such as Johnny Lever, Ehsaan Quereshi and Raju Srivastava. However, actress Sambhavana Seth, who has done an item song in the film, says. "Usually, people look for a hero and a heroine... not just comedians. Just because you’ve made a film, it doesn’t mean you’ll compare yourself to SRK or Aamir."
