Watch | Dadri victim’s son appeals for communal harmony

Mohammad Sartaj is the son of Mohammad Ikhlaq, the man lynched last week by a mob in Bisada village of Uttar Pradesh over rumours that he had slaughtered a cow. The corporal in the Indian Air Force is now focusing on bringing justice while appealing for communal harmony. “I know justice will be delivered to my family and I don't think any country will be proud of such a mob that killed a poor man for a rumour,” he said. He also appealed for logic to prevail so that other people can live peacefully without resorting to violence. Living up to his father's dreams, Sartaj joined the air force in 2008 after completing his schooling. He know believes that the compensation provided by the Uttar Pradesh govenment will help his family in re-building their lives. While his father succumbed to the mob attack, Sartaj's younger brother Danish was severely injured and is currently admitted in Noida's Kailash Hospital.
