about the video
Tuesday’s IPL match between Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) witnessed only one team turn up in Pune. Winning the toss and making DD bat was a decision stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane would have to repent later on. Sanju Samson made the first century of IPL 2017. Not only that, he became the second youngest centurion in IPL after Manish Pandey, who made a ton in 2009 at the age of 18. Chris Morris’s knock of 38 not out (9 balls ) was the fastest IPL innings of 30-plus runs. RPS had an outing they would like to forget, in the last over of the two matches they’ve played, they have conceded 53 runs. Amit Mishra’s bowling was the cherry on the cake for DD after the performance of Samson and Morris with the bat. He became only the second bowler in IPL to take 125 wickets after Lasith Malinga. Another intriguing stat came up when Adam Zampa was out. It was the first time in IPL that all the 10 batsmen from a team were dismissed getting caught. DD won by 97 runs, their biggest win margin in IPL. Above all, Tuesday was the first time that DD defeated RPS in an IPL game. (Hindustan Times)
