Iraqi interior designer’s cigarette packet collection will amuse you

In a hobby spanning over four decades, an Iraqi interior designer has collected cigarette boxes from as far afield as Cuba. Hidayat Karim Zanganeh has been gathering empty packets since 1975. His collection has crossed 2800 boxes and he wouldn't exchange a single packet for any amount of money. He says every packet has a history. He collects cigarette packets from family gatherings, weddings and parties. The 58-year-old is not actually a smoker but collects cigarette packs for their unique designs. Items in his collection date back to the 1930s and are from as far away as Cuba, Afghanistan and India. The interior designer hopes to one day hold an exhibition of his unusual collection.
