The death of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden will boost the morale of insurgents to seek martyrdom and encourage them in the war against US and NATO forces, said Afghan Taliban in a statement issued on Saturday. Osama was killed on May 2 by US commandos, who stormed his hideout in
Pakistan's Abbottabad city.

The Taliban outfit fighting Afghan and NATO forces said in the statement, Osma's death will further serve to increase morale of insurgents, reported Xinhua.

Osama's death has raised fears among war weary Afghans of revenge attacks by Taliban against Afghan and NATO led troops in Afghanistan
