An activist group says Chinese security forces have fired at Tibetans in the third reported deadly clash in a week, killing one and wounding several others. The London-based International Campaign for Tibet said Friday the Tibetans were trying to stop police from detaining a youth who
posted a leaflet saying that self-immolations wouldn't stop until Tibet is free. At least 16 Buddhist monks, nuns and other Tibetans have set themselves on fire to protest Chinese rule in the past year.

The group said a 20-year-old student was fatally shot in the clash in Aba in southwestern China.

Activist groups reported two other deadly clashes this week between police and protesters in the politically sensitive Tibetan region.
