How US President Barack Obama spent the first day of his holiday vacation in Hawaii on Wednesday:
Rejoining the family: Obama arrived in Honolulu early Wednesday morning after spending the time between Christmas and New Year's Day in Washington as Congress moved
toward passing a bill to address the so-called fiscal cliff.
His wife and daughters stayed in Hawaii while Obama was away, and he rejoined them early Wednesday after a redeye flight aboard Air Force One from Washington.
