If you are mesmerised by the beautiful architecture and castles of the United Kingdom or admire the British lifestyle, then here’s your chance of experiencing it right here in the city. In order to promote UK tourism globally, British Airways and Visit Britain are hosting The Great Big British Bash. This four-day event will give visitors the opportunity to explore and experience the British way of life through a number of stylishly themed pop-up stores that will cover shopping, music, countryside and food in British style.

“We are extremely excited to bring the British experience to people of Mumbai and provide them a taste of one of the many iconic sights and experiences Britain has to offer. From a royal entrance and exterior depicting Buckingham Palace to shopping, music and countryside, visitors will be offered a slice of the magnificent lifestyle,” says Christopher Fordyce, regional commercial manager, South Asia, British Airways.

One of the major events of this bash will be a fashion show titled Fashion through the Ages, which will feature some of the most famous British designers from the last 80 years.

“It will showcase the evolution of British Airways cabin crew uniforms, which will certainly entertain visitors,” says Fordyce. “Visitors will also have a rare opportunity to see the Duchess of Cambridge’s iconic dress on display at a one-off show. Another fashion show from Temperley London will show off trends set to define 2013.”

A VIP area has been created exclusively for music lovers, where they can enjoy the timeless British music and artists. Besides, you can also explore the British countryside in a virtual tour — from the splendour of Windsor Castle and a relaxing ride with Punters in Cambridge, to the mystery of Loch Ness, the tales of Shakespeare and the poems of Wordsworth.
