More than 100 children studying in a kindergarten in a Central China province took part in a mock marriage as part of sex education last week.
The children walked down the red carpet and at the end of the fake vows and exchanging rings, the boys kissed on the girls’ cheeks. The state-run
Global Times newspaper’s story didn’t mention wedding parties but did report that the proud parents blessed the children.
The Zhengzhou Yaolan Kindergarten said the activity would help raise the children’s awareness of family values. The teachers said the goal was early childhood sex education that explained how babies are made.
