Los Angeles: Actress Scarlett Johansson has sued a French publisher, JC Lattes, for using her name in the bestselling novel ‘The First Thing We Look At’ without her permission. The 28-year-old
actress is unhappy about being featured in the book and is seeking compensation and damages from Lattes for ‘breach and fraudulent use of personal rights’, and is also seeking a ban on ‘future transfer of rights and adaptations of the book’, reported Us magazine. The book, which was published in France on March 20, reportedly centers around a mechanic who meets a woman asking for help. He believes the woman is Johansson.
Harry Styles gives witty speech at mother’s wedding
London: One Direction singer Harry Styles has delivered a witty speech at his mother’s wedding, leaving guests “roaring with laughter”. Styles’ mother Anne, 43, married Robin Twist at Pecks restaurant in Cheshire here last week. “His speech was very witty. He had everyone roaring with laughter,” said Andy Pear, the restaurant’s owner, reports femalefirst.co.uk. “It was very emotional - people were in tears. He comes across as an intelligent young man. He wrote the speech himself and it lasted around 10 minutes,” he added.

Ammach Anomalous Mind Management Abductee Contactee Helpline gives support and counselling to those who believe they have had extra-terrestrial contact. It was set up in 2011 to help people unfortunate enough to have had a very close encounter with an alien. They get up to five calls a week and 25 emails, the Mirror reported.
Dog rescues baby tossed in rubbish heap in Thailand
Bangkok: A clever dog in Thailand has become a local hero after he rescued a newborn girl in a plastic bag from a roadside garbage dump and carried the baby back to his master’s house. The canine, a male Thai Bangkaew called Pui, found a white plastic bag from a dump site in tambon Sala Loi in Tha Rua district. He carried it to his master Gumnerd Thongmak’s house and barked loudly to get attention.ight action. Gumnerd’s niece, Sudarat, 12, said she went downstairs after hearing Pui barking and found the bag on the patio.
