Michelle Obama had such a great time in India last November she wants to return, this time with daughters Malia and Sasha, President Barack Obama told visiting Indian NSA Shivshankar Menon last week.
Sasha and Malia were originally scheduled to travel with the Obamas to India but they could not because it clashed with their school schedule.
“She is a determined lady,” said an Indian diplomat familiar with the conversation, adding that the First Lady would be able to visit Indian soon.
Michelle had matched her husband's star power with her own during Obama’s visit.
She spoke about women power in Delhi, and shared a secret with little girls that her husband is the first to apologise whenever they quarrel. The president has not yet countered it.
There is no official preparation at this point of time, official said. During the meeting with Menon, Obama asked him to convey to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh how much he and Michelle enjoyed trip to India last November. Obama conveyed his own commitment to strategic partnership between India and the United States.
