Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, the man India wants for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, on Wednesday challenged the US to carry out a military raid against him like the one that killed al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden last May.

In a defiant public appearance in Rawalpindi, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder publicly announced his location and challenged the US to come and get him.

“I am not hiding in caves and mountains, I am here in Rawalpindi,” Saeed said.

He even taunted the US to give him the $10 million (Rs 51 crore) bounty offered for him, saying he would use it in the impoverished province of Balochistan. Saeed trashed India’s claim that the LeT was involved in the Mumbai attacks, saying there was no proof against him.

Pakistan has sought “concrete evidence” from the US against Saeed.

“We need concrete evidence to proceed legally,” foreign office spokesperson Abdul Basit said in response to the US announcing a reward for Saeed’s arrest.$10 million bounty for Hafiz Saeed: US  | Portrait of a teacher as a terrorist
