It was not a pretty sight: Residents of Depoe Bay, a city in Oregon, United States, were disgusted after images emerged of a road covered with hagfish, an animal remarkable for its ugliness.

It happened when a truck carrying tanks loaded with live hagfish, a slime-producing marine animal, overturned, after getting into an accident.

“A flatbed truck with tanks full of live hagfish rolled, spewing water and hagfish all over the highway and beyond. No injuries, fortunately!,” Depoe Bay Fire District shared the incident on Facebook.

The fire department also shared the visuals of the accident in which it could be seen that the creepy creature and its slimy water are spread all over the highway and damaged cars.

The officials managed to clean the road.

However, the nasty view of the accident has left the internet users in the state of nausea.
