And that’s it. Despite the quick wickets towards the end, Pakistan’s quick start proved crucial as they win by two runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method, their score of 77/6 ahead of the par score of 75.

Over 16: 3 off the over and two quick wickets. India are suddenly in with a chance now. And the players are now off as a heavy downpour begins. Important to remember that at 77/6, Pakistan are now 2 runs ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis par score of 75

15.5 Poonam Yadav to Sana Mir, OUT

Gone. fantastic fielding. what is happening here. The Indian fielders run around in circles, going after the keeper. Sana Mir is gone. Patted away towards square leg, but the keeper runs around, picks up, and fires a direct hit at the non-strikers end to find the batsman well short. No need for a third umpire. Unbelievable fielding, more than made up for her lapse.

15.4 Poonam Yadav to Muneeba Ali, OUT

Lots of pressure, lots of miscommunication and this time it results in a wicket. Played away to point and the fielders are close in, ensuring there aren’t any free singles. The throw back to the keeper is good and she does the rest. The crowd goes mad.

Over 15: 4 off the over and Iram Javed’s wicket. 71/4

14.2 Goswami to Iram Javed, OUT

What a catch that is. Mithali Raj’s fielding has been awesome so far and she keeps her team in it with a splendid grab. Shortish delivery outside off, Iram comes down and crashes a powerful drive. it looks set for some runs before Raj flings herself at cover to take a stunner.

Over 14: 3 off the over. 70/3

Over 13: 1 off the over. 67/3

Over 12: 7 off the over. 66/3

Over 11: 9 off the over. 59/3

Over 10: 2 off the over. 50/3

9.6 Kaur to Bismah Maroof, OUT

Oh what a catch. Maroof’s stumbling innings ends and she picks out the tallest fielder. Tossed up outside off, Maroof comes down to uppishly drive. She gets enough but Jhulan takes a good overhead catch.

Over 9: 4 off the over and Sidra’s wicket. 48/2

8.6 Gayakwad to Sidra Ameen, OUT

Lovely captaincy this. Forced the batsman into a big shot with the close fielders. Ameen felt the pressure of needing a big hit and goes for a hard sweep but the flighted delivery ends up too full to sweep. Creeps through to clatter into the off stump

Over 8: 3 off the over 44/1

Over 7: 2 off the over. 41/1

Over 6: 8 off the over. 39/1

Over 5: 11 off the over. 31/1

Over 4: 1 off the over. 20/1

Over 3: 3 runs and the wicket of Nahida Khan. 19/1

2.6 Pandey to Nahida Khan, OUT

Straight to mid-on. Big wicket. Not required from Nahida. A very full delivery on off, tailing in late. She tries to go down the ground but the angle of the inswinger helps take the inside half of the bat. Lobbed straight to mid-on

Over 2: 7 runs off the over. 16/0

Over 1: 9 off the over. Pakistan 9/0

Pakistan’s women’s cricket team need 97 to win after a solid bowling effort helped restrict India to a low 96/7 in the ICC World T20 encounter at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday.

India got off to a terrible start, reaching the 50-run mark in only the 15th over, for the loss of four wickets.

Veda Krishnamuthy was the topscorer for India, hitting 24 off 19 balls. Captain Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur chipped in with 16 each.

For Pakistan, Anam Amin took a wicket and conceded 9 runs.
