Carlos Brathwaite’s stunning sixes off the first four balls of the last over helped West Indies seal their second World T20 title with a four-wicket win over England at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Sunday.

After Lendl Simmons had powered the Windies to a memorable win over India in the semifinals in Mumbai, the Caribbeans, led by Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy, got off their team bus and entered the hotel singing and dancing to “Champion”, Bravo’s single released just before the World T20.

The Champion Dance, as the jig has been dubbed, has been the Windies’ style of celebrating wins throughout the tournament, just as the Gangnam Style dance was during their first World T20 win, in 2012.

Not surprisingly, therefore, Kolkata witnessed similar scenes when the jubilant team returned to the hotel after the final.

Of course, with the West Indies, one celebration is never enough. The Caribbeans began as soon as the match ended. And went on and on.
