Over 1,300 houses were destroyed in a wildfire in the US state of Texas, Xinhua reported on Thursday.
The fire, which have been raging for three days in Bastrop county, has destroyed some 1,386 homes. About 30% of the blaze have been contained on Thursday, officials said.
At least two people were killed and some 5,000 were evacuated.
Wildfires fanned by dry air, high winds and severe drought, destroyed some 3.5 million acres of land in Texas this year.
