1 killed 4 injured in a bomb explosion in Nepal

A minor was killed and four people were injured in a bomb explosion in a Nepalese district during a function which was to be attended by Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav.

The bomb detonated by unidentified group at Gaur Municipality in Rautahat district last evening killed one Dhawal Rai Yadav, a 9 year old boy on the spot. The bomb exploded at the site of Central Regional Festival at the district headquarters.

The injured in the incident have been admitted to Gaur Hospital for treatment. The explosion took place near the stage where VIPs were sitting and a cultural programme was going on.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Upendra Yadav was invited as the chief guest of the closing ceremony of the festival scheduled for the next day. However, he returned to the capital today.
