Eleven suspected militants were killed in a US drone strike in the restive North Waziristan tribal region in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday.
US drones fired at least four missiles at two rebel hideouts in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan Agency, killing 11 suspected militants and injuring two others, TV news channels reported.
The two hideouts targeted by the drones were completely destroyed.
Drones continued to hover over the area after the attack.
Drones have repeatedly targeted the Datta Khel area since the beginning of this year.
The US stepped up drone strikes in North Waziristan since seven CIA operatives were killed by a suicide bomber linked to the Pakistani Taliban in neighbouring Khost province of Afghanistan in December.
