A crowded bus rolled three times on an unpaved road in remote northeast Kenya, killing 17 people, authorities said.
The accident happened on Saturday night outside Garissa, 300 kilometers (185 miles) northeast of the capital, Nairobi.
Police used an earth mover to flip the bus and rescue trapped passengers. Antony Kibuchi, the Northeastern Province police chief, said the bus had too many passengers, but no further details were available.
