British police say they are investigating the crash of a light aircraft in which two people may have died. Staffordshire Police say the single-engine propellor aircraft hit power lines before coming down near a set of train tracks. Police say two people may have died, but can't say exactly how many were on board the aircraft when it crashed.
The tracks are the main line between the northern city of Manchester and London's Euston station. The line has been shut, and train operators are reporting serious delays and cancellations as a result.
The crash occurred just before noon Friday near the village of Little Haywood, about 35 miles north of the central city of Birmingham.
