2 security personnel killed in Pak landmine blast

At least two soldiers were killed when a security forces' vehicle was targeted by a landmine while another was injured in a militant attack in Pakistan's troubled tribal belt today.

At least two soldiers were killed when a security forces' vehicle was targeted by a landmine while another was injured in a militant attack in Pakistan's troubled tribal belt today.

The security forces vehicle hit a landmine planted on a road in Lakro sub-division of Mohmand tribal region, triggering a blast that killed two personnel and injured two more, officials said.

In a separate incident, militants fired at a security forces convoy, injuring one personnel.

The attackers managed to escape despite retaliatory firing by the security forces.

The injured personnel was taken to a nearby hospital.
