At least 25 people were killed in two separate traffic accidents over the weekend in Venezuela, EFE news agency reported on Monday.
The most serious accident occurred in the northwestern region where a bus veered off the highway and caught fire, killing 17 people.
According to survivors, a race between two buses led to the accident.
The second accident occurred in east-central Venezuela, where two vehicles, one carrying eight people and the other three, collided head-on.
Six of the eight occupants of the first vehicle, all members of the same family, were killed, while two in the other vehicle lost their lives.
