Thirty militants were killed in a police operation in Afghanistan's southern province of Uruzgan, another hotbed of Taliban insurgent activity, according to the interior ministry.
Thirty militants were killed in a police operation in Afghanistan's southern province of Uruzgan, the interior ministry announced on Tuesday.
The operation was launched on Monday in Uruzgan and continued on Tuesday in the neighbouring province of Helmand, another hotbed of Taliban insurgent activity, the ministry said in a statement.

"During this operation 30 enemies of peace and stability were killed and 17 were injured," it said.
