A Chinese fishing vessel capsized on Tuesday off Peru's port city of Callao,the Peruvian Navy reported. While 19 crew members have been rescued, four others are still missing and presumed trapped inside the ship.
"The 'Fuyuan 3' flipped over outside the port, there are four people missing we hope are still alive inside the ship," said navy Captain Jose Calvo. He said the four crew members were presumed to be in the ship's engine room.
"Navy divers are evaluating the situation before launching a search and rescue operation", he added. 19 of the 'Fuyuan 3' crew were rescued from the shipwreck; two are injured, Calvo said, adding that all were taken to hospitals in Callao. The cause of the accident has not been determined,as yet, he added.
