Qatar-based channel Al-Jazeera has lost five female broadcast news anchors over issues of dress code and harassment by a senior editor over their attire.

The women who are recognizable female faces in the Middle East are from Lebanon, Syria and Tunisia. They complained of harassment and being the target of offensive remarks from the editor about their clothes and lack of decency reports Telegraph.

As quoted by Telegraph, according to sources at the channel the dispute runs much deeper than just the dress code and that the network is increasingly split by ideological clashes.
