Space shuttle Atlantis is catching up to the International Space Station. Atlantis and its six astronauts are due at the space station on Sunday.

They will spend a week at the orbiting complex, installing a new Russian compartment and six fresh batteries. They also will try to free a snagged cable during one of the spacewalks.

A cable on the shuttle's 100-foot (30-meter) inspection boom is caught in a camera. The problem prevented the astronauts from doing a proper survey of their ship to check for launch damage Saturday. NASA says the astronauts can finish the inspection after they arrive at the space station.

Flight controllers, meanwhile, say there's no threat from a piece of space junk that they've been monitoring.
