An Australian man with swine flu has died of uncertain causes, health officials said today.

The 26-year-old with "a number of major medical conditions" died in an Adelaide hospital, a statement said.

Australia has so far registered no swine flu deaths despite counting 2,330 cases of the A(H1N1) virus, making it the Asia-Pacific region's worst-hit country.
