Austria's foreign ministry said it could neither confirm nor deny a media report that a Russian spy convict named in a possible swap for alleged Russian agents in the United States had arrived in Vienna on Thursday.

"I can neither confirm nor deny that he has arrived. We have no further information," a foreign ministry spokesman said. The Interfax news agency had earlier cited a rights activist as saying Igor Sutyagin had arrived in Vienna.
