The royal couple was greeted by a grand procession lined up with traditionally decorated elephants, camels and horse lancers with a 60-year-old carriage from the Gwalior lancers. The couple was welcomed with guard of honour, buglers and the Royal family of Jaipur Maharaj Jai Singh and Rani Vidya Devi.
The formal greetings were followed by performances by Ghoomar and Sufi dancers. They are staying at the ‘Sukh Niwas’ suite at the Taj heritage site, which has gold leaf frescoes and large windows opening to royal gardens.
