Two rag-pickers were killed and another was seriously injured in a bomb blast in Quetta city of southwest Pakistan today, police said.

The bomb went off on Saryab Road, a key thoroughfare in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. The explosive device was hidden in a garbage dump near a petrol station, police officials said.

The device exploded when three rag-pickers were sifting through the garbage. They sustained serious injuries and two of them died while being taken to hospital.
