British authorities say the bodies of two British men taken hostage in Iraq two years ago have been identified and their next of kin informed.
The men's identities are expected to be released later today.
Yesterday, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said the remains of two hostages had been handed over to British officials in Baghdad. He said forensic tests were being conducted to identify them.
Shiite militants outside the Finance Ministry in Baghdad kidnapped information technology consultant Peter Moore and his four bodyguards in May 2007.
Moore's family said today that he was not one of the two dead hostages.
