A tourist bus ran off the road and crashed in the Hungarian capital on Tuesday, injuring 36 people, 16 of them seriously, authorities said.
The bus plunged three meters (10 feet) and cut through an industrial fence before smashing into the wall of a house, the state news agency MTI reported.
The bus had been carrying some 50 people, mainly elderly Hungarians traveling from Budapest to the western part of the country, MTI quoted Pal Gyorfi, National Ambulance Service spokesman.
Gyorfi said none of the passengers was in life-threatening condition. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries including broken hands, legs and ribs.
Some of the passengers had to be freed from the damaged bus by rescuers.
The cause of the accident was not yet know, MTI said.
