Canadian PM Trudeau in 60 seconds: ‘Justin Timberlake is the real JT’
If you can’t get enough of Canada’s new Prime Minister, how about “Justin Trudeau in 60 seconds”? That’s the title of a new video which has Trudeau talking about various topics including his first pet and his favourite French word (which translates to Jerusalem artichoke!).
If you can’t get enough of Canada’s new Prime Minister, how about “Justin Trudeau in 60 seconds”? That’s the title of a new video which has Trudeau talking about various topics including his first pet and his favourite French word (which translates to Jerusalem artichoke!).
And when Trudeau was asked who his other favourite Justin was, he replied by saying: “Justin Timberlake, the real JT.”
Made ahead of Maclean’s magazine’s year-end townhall with Trudeau, the video has the charming PM reciting his favourite verse of poetry from Cyrano De Bergerac’s “Non, merci!” soliloquy which when translated means:
“No, thank you! But…to sing,
To dream, to laugh, to move on, to be free, on my own
To have a keen eye and a voice of strong tone,
Wear my hat awry as I prefer,
For no reason at all engage in combat or pen a verse!”
Trudeau, who won Canada’s election in October promising “sunny ways” and respect, has established a rock star-like image for his warm welcome of Syrian refugees that arrived in Canada a few days ago and his cabinet which was hailed for its young and vibrant vibe.
Well, if his photos holding warm clothing for recently arrived Syrian children didn’t melt your heart, this video is sure to do the trick.
