The death toll in a methane gas explosion at a Polish coal mine last week has risen to 14 after another miner died of burns.
A doctor at a burn hospital in the eastern town of Leczna says the 44-year-old miner died today.
The accident occurred Friday at the Wujek-Slask mine in Ruda Slaska. A methane leak set off an explosion 1,050 meters below ground.
Today, was the first of two days of national mourning declared by President Lech Kaczynski.
