An art house in Switzerland will auction off this summer the doctorate diploma issued to Albert Einstein from the school of mathematics and natural sciences at Zurich University, Swiss media reported on Saturday.

His dissertation was entitled "A New Determination of Molecular Dimensions" and he received his Ph.D. in 1906 at the age of 26. Einstein went on to win the Nobel Prize in Physics for his discoveries in photoelectric effects, which he started while at Zurich.

The German-born scientist is known for his general theory of relatively and specifically the simple E=MC2, which explained that mass and energy were one and the same.

During some of his first years in Switzerland, Einstein worked at a patent office as he could not find a teaching post.

The Fischer Gallery said it would auction Einstein's diploma in June on behalf of a private collector, as part of a package of other related documents. The starting bid would be at least 20,000 Swiss francs ($17,260).
