Russia news agencies are reporting that an explosion on a bus in Moscow has injured at least two people. State-run RIA-Novosti cites an unidentified law enforcement official as saying an explosive device detonated on a city bus Sunday evening, injuring two men and a woman.
But an official who spoke to Interfax put the number of injured at two and did not specify what caused the blast. The report said the victims were hospitalized with light injuries. Police and emergency officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
Moscow was plagued by bomb attacks attributed to terrorists in the late 1990s and earlier this decade but there have been few bombings in recent years.
