G-20 nations agreed at a summit on Thursday to bring an end to tax havens which fail to provide information when requested, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said.

"We have agreed that there will be an end to tax havens that do not transfer information upon request. The banking secrecy of the past must come to an end," Brown said.

"The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development is this afternoon publishing a list of tax havens that are non-compliant and where action must immediately be taken," he added.
