Palestinian militants fired two rockets at southern Israel from Gaza on Friday, a military spokesman said, adding that they caused no casualties or damage.
One rocket was fired from the north Gaza district of Beit Lahiya and exploded in an empty field in the Hamas-controlled enclave.
A second rocket exploded north of Gaza, the spokesman added.
Palestinian militants have fired about 40 rockets and mortar rounds since Israel ended its 22-day military offensive against the Palestinian territory on January 18.
Israel, which launched its assault on December 27 with the stated aim of stemming rocket attacks, has warned of "the severest riposte" to any further rocket fire.
