Pakistan's Geo News channel has claimed that it will air "stunning revelations about some hidden facts" related to the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto almost a year go.
The revelations will be part of a special programme "Geo Investigates" to be aired ahead of the first death anniversary of the slain Pakistan People's Party chairperson.
A statement from the Jang media group, of which Geo News is a part, said the programme will comprise expert comments and analyses regarding the "mysterious circumstances" under which Bhutto was assassinated at Liaquat Bagh in the garrison city of Rawalpindi on December 27 last shortly after addressing an election rally.
"The viewers would surely know stunning revelations about some hidden facts linked with the tragedy," said the statement.
Former President Pervez Musharraf had blamed Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud for masterminding the assassination of the two-time former premier.
Five persons, including a teenage would-be suicide bomber, have been arrested in connection with her killing.
After coming to power in the February 18 general election, the PPP-led government approached the UN to probe Bhutto's assassination to expose the "hidden hands" behind it.
