Former pizza chain boss Herman Cain's bid for the Republican ticket suffered another setback Monday with a woman claiming a 13-year-long affair with him.
Current pack leader Newt Gingrich, meanwhile, retained his lead for another week in a battle that has dumped favourites moments after enthronement. Cain's current tormentor is a woman from his state Georgia.
"It was pretty simple," said accuser Ginger White. "I was aware that he was married. I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship." Cain is understood to have told his campaign staff Tuesday morning he is reassessing his presidential run and will decide by the end of week if he is staying in the race or not.
